What we do
We create conversations. With people who are interested in what we are doing, or in what our clients are doing.
Our clients come from varied fields. Most important to us is working on products we believe in, with individuals we believe in or people we love working with. Like most in our industry, we’re serious about what we do and we work hard. We love the consumer, design and lifestyle industries.
Our job is to engage. To entertain, to educate and to share. To create conversations with people in a way that’s considered and relevant.
We prefer not to categorise our offering as “full service” or “integrated”. For us, it’s about an approach that starts with looking at who we want to speak with, what they're into and what we have to say. We create a specific message for that audience, and then we look at which medium or combination of mediums will best carry the message.
Our approach is also a collaborative one. We believe it’s obligatory for an agency to keep things fresh and relevant; and we believe a collaborative model best facilitates this outcome. It’s impossible for one group to have all the answers, all the time.
Let’s talk.
How we work
We’re brilliant at looking after our clients and exceeding their expectations. Every time. We’re front of house for our clients, and overarching brand & creative strategy. We’re here to do great work that people respond to. And we’re keen to work with as many brilliant people as we can.
We work with a broad network of creative, digital and media geniuses. A model that accommodates the global village of which we’re a part; the specialist and niche nature of input providers; the fluidity and transience of staff; and the increasing fragmentation of service providers.
Let’s talk.
Who are we?
Our blog best describes who we are, what we think and what we love. All the things you really want to know. Here you’re able to get a collective feel for the agency that’s far more insightful than a “trumpet blowing” bio.
We appreciate there may be some “mandatory” details you’d like to know about the Directors of the business, so cue trumpets…
“Who am I” number one:
I have been working in the marcomms world for more than 10 years, both agency and client side, across corporate and consumer industries. Prior to Gun, I was Head of Client Service/General Manager of the Melbourne office of well-known lifestyle agency, Spin. Leaving Spin in 2006, I travelled for six months, and on my return to Melbourne, I freelanced for almost two years. Finally biting the bullet (bad pun intended) in 2008, I evolved my freelance work into an agency offering. Gun was born.
I am…Sarah Sproule.
“Who am I” number two:
I joined Gun in January 2010, deflecting from the west where I was Creative Director at digital agency, Longtail. Prior to Longtail, I was Creative Director at another successful WA start up, Market United. I joined Gun to broaden the strategic and creative intellectual property behind the agency. I am also known (mainly to my parents) as Geoff.
I am…Richie Baldwin.
